Franklin Square Gallery to host 2017 Spring Art Show
SOUTHPORT, NC (WWAY) – Southport art lovers will be able to view local pottery and paintings at Franklin Square Gallery’s annual Spring Show on February 27.
Artists from across the state will present their works and vie for prizes awarded from two nationally recognized judges, painter Kate Worm and 3D artist Amy Levine.
“This is an exciting time,” says Kimberly Kirk, event chairperson. “The show marks a new year for the gallery and the start of First Friday receptions. There are always creative surprises.”
Southport’s Franklin Square Gallery sits in the heart of the art scene in historic downtown Southport. Gallery members are both professionals and new artists just discovering their talents through local classes.
The Spring Show will be up for three weeks, until March 18. The Franklin Square Gallery is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The public will have a chance to meet many of the exhibiting artists at the First Friday Gallery Walk reception on March 3 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Visitors can enjoy light refreshments and view the award-winning artwork.
