Free health screenings

Free health screenings were available today for anyone looking to check their cholesterol, body mass index and bone density.

The event was collaboration between Walgreen’s and AARP.

Results were instant, and the check-up was valued at 140 bucks.

“I saw it while I was driving by and I saw the bone density mentioned on the scans they were going to do, the checks, and I thought that since I don’t have health insurance or anything like that, I could get that checked,” said Sandy Dungan.

Free health screenings continue tomorrow at the Walgreen’s on 17th Street in Wilmington.
