WPD investigating late-night shooting, but victim not helping


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police are asking for help as officers investigate a shooting, because the victim won’t cooperate.

According to a news release, police responded around 11 p.m. Friday to a home in the 1100 block of Greenfield Street and found a 26-year-old man shot. Police say the victim was uncooperative and gave them little information.

Police say EMS took the man to the hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.
