Friends and families come out for tattoos and guns

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) –It was a busy day at the Wilmington Convention Center as the Ink and Arms Expo was underway. People from all across the country came to enjoy event.

Tattoo artists from around the country came to the Cape Fear for a weekend of art and entertainment. Many enthusiasts and families came to check out the tattoos and different guns. Attendees and organizers say events like this showcase a strong sense of community, supporting tattoos and guns.

“I’d say it’s a healthy growing community because if you always have conventions like this, it’s just different things comes together. It’s got to work out for you, got to grow,” attendee Michael Brabson said.

“We’re getting a lot of love from the community. We’re really appreciating it. Even the schools around and local businesses have come out in full support of us,” expo emcee Carl Blasphemy said.

There were even some tattoo artists from television shows there. Organizers are hoping more people will come out the next time they hold this expo.
