Friends, coworkers remember Brunswick County EMS Operations manager who died Saturday
BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) – Brunswick County Emergency Services Operations Manger Mark Gore died on Saturday.
Several people began posting on Facebook about Gore remembering his leadership at Brunswick County EMS as well as the influence he had on their lives. The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page also responded. “Our hearts are extremely heavy at the loss of our dear friend and colleague Mark Gore,” it read. “Mark was a true servant to our community with a passion for his work and those he worked with. Many first responders in our community and beyond were mentored by Mark during his many years of service.”
The post went on to quote Joe Cherry, a fellow member of the BCSO SWAT team. “RIP Mark, you will be missed. It is very hard to see one of our own pass. Mark was a great medic and an essential part of the SWAT Team. Mark was on every mission, and I never worried because I knew if something went wrong he would fix us. Prayers are with you and your family my friend. You will be with us on every call out.”
