Friends and family remember drowned teens
LAKE WACCAMAW — In Lake Waccamaw Wednesday night friends and family are gathered to remember the two young men who drowned last week.
William Mills and Glenn Marvin died after their paddle boat capsized about a mile off-shore.
Scott Collins survived by swimming back to shore using a make-shift buoy with his clothes.
None of the teens was wearing a life jacket. All three of them attended East Columbus High School.
Wednesday evening’s vigil is being held at Dale’s Seafood on Lake Shore Drive. The restaurant is on the shore of Lake Waccamaw, and where Scott Collins was able to find help.
