Friends remember Shak on Saturday
A taxi driver killed in a road accident was remembered with a memorial service Saturday evening.
Dozens of people came out to Fibber McGee’s in Wilmington to remember “Shak” Rahimbux, the owner of Kat’s Taxi.
Two weeks ago, Rahimbux was killed when a motorcyclist traveling at an estimated 120 miles per hour struck his cab. The accident occurred at intersection of Rogersville and Eastwood roads.
Both vehicles caught fire, and both men were killed.
Friends shared stories tonight of a man they say was one-in-a-million, and urged attendees to drive carefully.
