Front Street work means another lane closure downtown

Crews are shutting down part of a busy Downtown Wilmington intersection as work on Front Street continues. A portion of the westbound lane of Market Street at Front is closed.

Westbound motorists headed toward the Cape Fear River on Market will have to turn south onto Front. Eastbound motorists will not be affected. Because the entire block of North Front Street between Market and Princess Streets is already closed to traffic, motorists travelling north on Front will only be able to turn right onto Market.

The closure began is expected to last through Friday afternoon.
