Funeral set for Wilmington stabbing victim

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Services have been scheduled for the man killed in a neighborhood stabbing.

Ben Privott was found dead Friday morning around 2 a.m. near his home in a neighborhood off of Market Street near the Kings Grant neighborhood. Yesterday, Sheriff Ed McMahon announced an arrest in the case. He said an unidentified 15-year-old white male is facing charges including first degree murder.

Visitation for Privott will be this afternoon at a church in Goldsboro, according to the obituary. Funeral services are planned for Thursday afternoon at the same location.

Friends describe Privott as a well-liked musician and real estate agent in the community.
