Garland man facing additional child sexual exploitation charges

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — An ongoing investigation by the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office has resulted in additional charges for a man already accused of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.

34-year-old Angel Bautista Leon, of Garland, was taken into custody on Tuesday for additional warrants that were issued as a result of the investigation.

An extensive search of electronic devices belonging to Leon uncovered more evidence linking him to additional crimes.

He has been charged with an additional 8 counts of Felony Second Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor and 8 additional counts of Felony Third Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.

Last month, Leon was arrested and charged with two counts of Felony Second Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor as well as two counts of Felony Third Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.

Leon is currently being held at the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center under a $200,000 secured bond.
