Gastonia police arrest 3 men after bank robbery

GASTONIA, N.C. (AP) – Police in Gastonia have three men in
custody following a third recent bank robbery along the same
section of road.

The Gaston Gazette reported that police
were called to a PNC Bank branch on South New Hope Road around
12:40 p.m. Thursday. After receiving a description of a man seen
fleeing the scene, police later made the arrests in a residential
subdivision less than a mile from the bank.

Thursday’s incident was the third armed bank robbery along South
New Hope Road in less than a month.
