Girl rescued from surf at Carolina Beach

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — A day in the water turned scary for one family on vacation in Carolina Beach.

Witnesses say a girl was struggling to swim in the rough water. They say she screamed for help and lifeguards came to the rescue.

A lifeguard pulled the girl to safety, and she left the beach with her family a little shaken up.

Carolina Beach Ocean Rescue has not returned our call for more information.
