Girl taken to hospital after incident on fair ride

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A girl was taken to the hospital after an incident on a ride at the Cape Fear Fair & Expo Saturday afternoon.

It happened on a ride called “Quadzilla,” which is for small children.

Fair manager Skip Watkins said he did not see the incident, but that EMS took took the girl as a precaution. He said she walked to the gurney.

“Quadzilla” was running a short time later.
