GlenCare comments answered

Our investigation into violations at GlenCare assisted living has sparked some questions and comments from our viewers. Our investigation started with an e-mail from a former employee – that led us to a Department of Social Services investigation from last year. That prompted this comment from a viewer:

“So every ex-employee who writes an e-mail, do they get the same treatment. I think the true information and not the sensationalized version should be presented to the public.”

As we reported Monday – the information we told you about was taken directly from the DSS report. In fact some of the details were so graphic we decided not to include them in the story.

On Tuesday, we heard from two former employees about current conditions at GlenCare.
Dorothy Lane questioned their motivations:

” These allegations are stemming from disgruntled employees, we all know how vicious some people can be when they are fired…There are some good hard working employees working for Glencare and it is a shame that those employees were not interviewed before this misrepresentation of Glencare was reported.”

While both employees were fired from GlenCare… Corey Rotella showed us an e-mail expressing her concerns dated more than a month before she was fired. We also reached out to glencare owner Glenn Kornegay a number of times, and each time he declined to sit down with us for an interview.
