Globetrotters entertain packed Trask Coliseum crowd, beat Rendleman and Generals
Nobody is quite sure how WWAY’s John Rendleman got invited to play against the Harlem Globetrotters Friday night at Trask Coliseum, but once the invitation came, the Washington Generals’ secret weapon said, “I had to accept it.”
It was a wonderful night for everyone in attendance. Both young and old felt like kids as the Globetrotters worked their magic.
As for Rendleman, well he scratched the score sheet hitting a free throw after Big Easy fouled him, although he paid the price by taking a brutal spanking before stepping to the charity stripe.
It was a night most will never forget, including Rendleman. After all how often do you get to be on the same court as the Globetrotters?
