GMC gets the scoop on the Deco Ball

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Get your flapper dresses and tuxedos ready, it’s time for the Deco Ball!

This Thursday is the sixth year, Jess James is hosting a ‘Gatsby’ inspired ball in Wilmington. The new name opens new possibilities for dress. Previously it had been just been the 20s, Jazz era dress, but they are casting a wider style net this year. The Deco Ball encompasses the 1920s, 30s, and all of the art-deco era.

It’s not just glamorous, it’s for a good cause. The event benefits Animal Avengers NC, raising funds and awareness for a group set on saving dogs and finding them a forever home.

The stylish event has a new name and new venue. The Deco Ball will be at the Wrightsville Manor 1952 Allens Lane in Wilmington. It’s this Thursday, Oct. 13 at 6 p.m. for VIP guests and 7 for everyone else.
