Going to the library is back in style
It seems going to the library is back in style.
Nationwide, 68 percent of the adult population has a library card; the highest number since the American Library Association started collecting data in 1990.
Fifty-five percent of North Carolinians have a library card. In the last fiscal year, more than 37 million people visited their library in our state.
Some of the biggest growth areas at the library: people looking for jobs, filling out applications, and exploring educational opportunities online.
