Goolsby beats Butler for second term in NC Senate

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — In the race for NC Senate District 9, incumbent Republican Thom Goolsby won out over Democrat Deb Butler.

“I’ve kept my promises in office,” Goolsby said. “I’ve told them what I was going to do, and I’ve gone up to Raleigh and done it. I’ve worked hard for it. I just really am humbled by it and appreciate folks caring enough to put me back there.”
