Goolsby takes Senate oath

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Thom Goolsby officially became New Hanover County’s senator today.

Goolsby took his oath of office at the New Hanover County Courthouse, a place he’s spent a lot of time as an attorney. Later this month he’ll head to Raleigh, where he’ll be part of the Republican majority in the Senate.

Goolsby replaces Democrat Julia Boseman, who decided last year not to seek reelection.
