NHSO: Man wanted after robbing gas station clerk at gunpoint

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery at a gas station Monday morning.

It happened around 2:00 a.m. at the Shell gas station in the 4600 block of Gordon Road, near I-40.

New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Lt. Jerry Brewer said a man wearing dark clothing, with a black bandanna around his mouth came inside with a gun. He said he wanted money.

He took an unknown amount of cash and then took off.

The investigation is ongoing.
