Got a lot of trash due to the holidays? Check out these pickup schedules!
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — With all of the festivities, food and family time, that means your trash cans could be piling up. But with government offices closing for part of the week, and Christmas on a Friday, that means your trash pickup days could be affected.
NEW HANOVER COUNTY: Wilmington crews will pick up Friday routes on Wednesday, so get out your cans tonight! Click here to see more details. Wrightsville Beach has two pickup days for residents every week, so you will only have one pickup this week. Click here for Wrightsville Beach’s schedule. Residents in both Kure Beach and Carolina Beach aren’t affected by the holiday.
BRUNSWICK COUNTY: Curbside pickup that is normally on Friday will be Saturday. Click here to see the complete holiday schedule which includes government offices and landfill schedules.
PENDER COUNTY: Most residents in Pender County have their trash and recycling picked up by a private company, so please contact them with questions. On Topsail Island, trash pickup in Surf City is Monday through Wednesday. For Topsail Beach, trash is collected on Mondays in the off-season, and in North Topsail Beach, trash is scheduled for a Wednesday pickup, which is the norm for this time of year.
We’ve also reached out to city and county leaders in Bladen and Columbus counties for information. We will update this when we hear back!
