Grahamland takes the show on the road
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Grahamland has taken their show on the road in an effort to raise money to complete the amusement park.
They have been driving around the area with 12 foot tall pink flamingos, hoping to sell them to raise money as well as draw attention to the amusement park right here in the Cape Fear.
Grahamland artist Betty Dolce said this fundraiser has been all about fun.
“Yeah, everybody is taking pictures, wanting me to stop. Everybody acts like they’re so happy to see them and everything,” said Dolce.
Grahamland is located in Delco. It features about 150 handmade fiberglass animals. Park owners are trying to convert those animals into rides and a mini golf course for visitors to enjoy.
The park has set up a GoFundMe account to help raise money as well.
