Halloween economy staying steady

With Halloween just a few days away, it is time to start thinking about your costume.

Tricked out wigs, vampire fangs, and spooky masks bring Halloween to life.

“Everybody seems to be in good spirits and looking to find the best costume they’ve ever had,” said one Halloween store worker.

Our strained economy and the shake down on Wall Street doesn’t seem to be hurting profits at Halloween and More on College Road.

Employees admit they have seen a slight decrease in customers from past years, but you couldn’t tell Sunday.

Scott Russo is searching the aisles for a Willy Wonka costume. He stated, “At this point I don’t have a lot of money in the stock market, so it’s not like I’ve lost a lot, and plus the price of gas is a dollar less. I’m not worried.”

Halloween is a day where people can live out a fantasy. From super heroes, to Indiana Jones, they can be whoever they want to be. It seems this year, with the economy in a slump, folks are looking to a way to escape. Kady Taylor just spent $42 dollars for her son Jay’s batman suit. “Expensive, but they’re worth it,” she said.

With Halloween just around the corner, it seems there will be no shortage of cool costumes, and funky attire for trick or treaters.

Halloween & More is located at 420 South College Road, and the store is open year round.
