Hammerheads host Orlando City B tonight in must win game


WILMINGTON, NC (HAMMERHEADS) — The Wilmington Hammerheads will host Orlando City B on Wednesday, September 7th at Legion Stadium, kicking off at 7pm.

Orlando hosted Wilmington last on July 24th resulting in a 2-2 tie. Their first meeting was the season opener on March 26th in Orlando, where Wilmington took home a 2-1 win against the sunshine state team. As the team prepares to meet for the third time this season, and at Legion Stadium, head coach Mark Briggs stated, “It’s the biggest game of the season for us. Knowing what we have to do, it will be a difficult game against a very good Orlando City team.”

With only four games remaining in the 2016 season, coach Briggs concluded, “We are prepared and ready for the whistle to blow.”
