Hannah Patrick competes in Dancing with the Seahawks
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Hannah Patrick put on her dancing shoes to compete in Dancing with the Seahawks on Sunday night.
After countless hours of practice and immeasurable hard work, Hannah showed off her dancing skills at Warwick Center. She competed against five others in two rounds of dancing.
The winner was determined by dance moves and money raised. Hannah came in second place overall.
The event raised more than $50,000 for the UNCW Women’s Basketball Team to go to Puerto Rico this fall.
Former basketball player for Duke University and the NBA Gene Banks was one of the celebrity judges for the event. He says he was more than happy to help the basketball program and see some dance moves.
“Well this is, this is great to come out here to the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Great school, the competition dancing with the Seahawks, what a great idea. I’m very, very thankful that Nicole Woods brought down here. I’m a very great supporter of her and the Seahawks. This was a great affair I mean, I saw some dancing that was uh….I could do a little something something, but they were great,” said Banks.
Congratulations, Hannah! We are proud of you and are so grateful to have you represent WWAY.
