Hearing held in student body president case
The autopsy of the UNC student body president will remain sealed for now. Prosecutors say releasing it could jeopardize the entire case.
Yesterday a hearing on the sealed report was postponed until June.
Suspect Laurence Lovette returned to court asked for a $500,000 bond. A judge denied the request.
A report from Durham's City Manager said a police officer should have charged Lovette with burglary when he was arrested last November for breaking into a home. Lovette struck a plea deal that reduced the charges and received a suspended sentence.
