Heavy rain leads to shellfishing restrictions

As is often the problem when heavy rains strike our area, we have some shellfishing restrictions to pass along.

Waters from Tubbs Inlet in Sunset Beach to the South Carolina state line are closed until further notice.The Lockwoods Folly River is closed north of Spring Creek.

Heading farther north, all the waters from Snows Cut to the Wrightsville Beach Bridge are closed. Finally, there are closures from the Surf City Bridge to New River Inlet.
