Help raise money for the Eastern Alzheimer’s Association

You may have noticed an interesting fashion trend today. Some ladies are sporting purple hair.

A local salon teamed up with the Eastern Alzheimer’s Association to help raise money for the foundation. Ladies put in purple hair extensions to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s.

Sandy Powell, owner of North Chase Spa-lon said, “Everyone is affected by Alzheimer’s in one way or another, if it’s not a family member you probably know someone who is affected in one way or another. If it’s not someone who is sick with it, it’s someone who is helping someone who is sick, it’s a sad disease that we need more help, more research and funds for.”

You can stop by the North Chase Spa-lon through October 10th, make a ten dollar donation and get your purple hair strand.

Extensions can also be purchased at an Alzheimer’s volleyball tournament at Captain Bill’s in Wilmington on October 11th.
