High School students make big donation to animal shelter
COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Columbus County Animal Shelter just received a huge donation from the South Columbus High School Stallionettes.
According to shelter manager Joey Prince, the young women donated 50 bags of animal food to the shelter yesterday.
This is part of two service projects the women have participated in this month. They also collected blankets and clothes for the local Hurricane Matthew Relief Effort. Over 20 blankets were donated, along with bags of clothes.
The shelter is very thankful for the Stallionettes hard work to make the lives of the animals better.
