High school vandalized over Spring Break
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Spring Break was a busy week for vandals who targeted one New Hanover County school.
Hoggard High School Principal Dr. Steven Sullivan said athletic fields and mobile classrooms were among the targets of the vandals. He says the track, field house and football field were sprayed with graffiti, while two mobile classrooms were vandalized by knocking over items and running a hose through a room. He said both classrooms weren’t secured and there shouldn’t be any permanent damage.
Officials say a baseball concession stand was also broken into. A window was smashed and some candy was stolen.
The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
