Highway Patrol investigating Brunswick County crash involving deputy

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating an car accident involving a sheriff’s deputy Wednesday night.

Officials say the accident happened on Maco Road in Brunswick County.

A spokeswoman for the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office confirms a deputy was involved in the accident.

WWAY has reached out to Highway Patrol and is waiting to hear back from the trooper who is investigating the accident.
