Highway officers awarded for their safety

Several hundred law officers took a break from patrolling our highways to be recognized for their duty.

Multiple agencies gathered from across the state in Wilmington for the 2009 Law Enforcement Summit.

It was part of the governor’s Highway Safety Program recognizing the work they have done to protect and serve.

The summit covered issues on training and road safety.
