Hillary Clinton attends Charlotte fund-raiser
CHARLOTTE (AP) — Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton shook hands and posed for photos with supporters at a private fund-raiser in Charlotte.
The former first lady was at the home of local businessman Johnny Taylor yesterday, where about 60 supporters paid $2,300 each. They dined on chicken Marsala during the two-hour event with Clinton, a senator from New York.
Taylor is senior vice president for global giant IAC-Inter-Active-Corporation. He wouldn’t discuss the guest list and said he couldn’t share what Clinton told supporters because he was sworn to secrecy.
Co-host Mark Erwin said last week that raising $150,000 was the goal. The amount raised could not be confirmed.
