Hillary Clinton visits Wilmington
It was a politically charged Sunday night at the riverfront in downtown Wilmington. More than 5,000 people packed downtown Wilmington to hear Sen. Hillary Clinton speak. She spoke about everything from turning around the economy to America’s relationship with China.
Many people NewsChannel 3 spoke with were concerned about education and the War in Iraq. During a one-on-one interview with NewsChannel 3, Clinton said if she is elected president she would not keep the No Child Left Behind Act because it is not working and would bring the troops home quickly and with honor because the men and women have accomplished their mission and should come home.
Even though Clinton's speech seemed to go over well with the crowd, many people said their minds won't be entirely made up until they find out what Barack Obama says during his town hall meeting at UNC Wilmington Monday.
A win for Clinton in North Carolina’s primary on May 6 would bring her one step closer to the Democratic Presidential nomination.
