Hoggard boys swim team finishes in 3rd place at East Regionals

CARY,NC (WWAY) — The Hoggard boys swim team placed 3rd overall at the 4A East Regionals on Saturday in Cary. (best finish/highest score for Hoggard boys in school history). The Laney boys finished in 5th.

Top 3 for Individual Events:

Patrick Weldon-senior-Hoggard – placed 2nd in the Men’s 200 Freestyle and 2nd in the Men’s 100 Freestyle.

Travis Johns-sophomore-Laney – placed 1st in the 200 Freestyle and 1st in the 100 Backstroke.

Stephan Coetzer-senior-Laney – placed 3rd in the 100 Butterfly and 3rd in the 100 Backstroke

Relays:

Hoggard Men’s 200 Freestyle Relay made up of Patrick Weldon, Zack Hannum, Rett Nabell, and Evan Kauffman won 2nd place

Hoggard Men’s 400 Freestyle Relay -Patrick Weldon, Zack Hannum, Rett Nabell, and Evan Kauffman won 2nd place

Laney Men’s 200 Medley Relay- Stephan Coetzer, Travis Johns, Christian Caveness, and Ben Rachunok won 2nd place
