Holden Beach man accused of assaulting two hospital security guards

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Holden Beach man is accused of injuring two hospital security personnel in Brunswick County, according to an arrest warrant.
Benjamin Hewett, 31, was arrested on Tuesday. He is charged with two counts of assault causing physical injury upon emergency personnel.
The warrant states Hewett kicked a Brunswick Novant Hospital security personnel in the chest, injuring the man’s back. Hewett also reportedly scratched another security guard in the hand, causing a cut.
As of Wednesday morning, Hewett was in the Brunswick County jail under a $5,000 secured bond.
