Holiday Miracles for a family in Bladen County

Our WWAY Holiday Miracles effort has taken us in many directions this year. When we got a request for beds, we weren’t quite sure what to do, until someone called David Williford at the Furniture Warehouse in Shallotte.

Williford and the Furniture Warehouse sent two queen beds on their way to Bladen County, to Jacqueline Wooten’s house. They have not had their own beds in two years.

Jacqueline is a widow, raising two kids, while she attends Bladen Community College. Direct Care employee, Freida Bellamy, set these beds in motion. “Jacqueline had come to me needing beds, so I sent the letter in to WWAY,” she said.

“I really needed this furniture. I’m grateful. I appreciate it,” Jacqueline said.
