Home Tour kicks off with annual ribbon cutting
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Historic Wilmington Foundation held a ribbon cutting ceremony to kick off their North Carolina Azalea Festival Home Tour.
The ribbon cutting took place at the David Reid Murchison House on South Third street.
The foundation believes these tours help showcase the soul of Wilmington .
“At the Historic Wilmington Foundation, we think our historic neighborhoods are a big part of that soul. And on Azalea festival what better time to celebrate our historic neighborhoods and do that by getting a chance to get an inside peek of those beautiful homes,” Christine Divoky, home tour director, said.
Proceeds from the home tour went to the Historic Wilmington Foundation’s efforts to protect and preserve historic resources of Wilmington.
