At home New Year’s celebrations can save money

Managers at Party City Discount store in Wilmington say a house party is the less expensive way to go.

The store has party kits on clearance. Hats, horns, and noise makers are some of the items inside the boxes.

The kits can provide party materials for a group of 10, 50, or even 100 people. Some kits are priced below $25.

Party City manager Sharon O’Quinn said, “Having a party at home saves you money because you don’t have to worry about the expensive packages, $40 to get in to the clubs. You don’t have to worry about a designated driver, cab fare, so staying home is a good way to celebrate.”

There were several shoppers picking up last minute party items for sale on New Year’s Eve day.
