HOSPITAL SAFETY: Novant, Columbus get ‘A,’ NHRMC gets ‘B’

SOUTHEASTERN, NC (WWAY) — Safety grades are in for New Hanover Regional Medical Center and the two other hospitals in our area Novant Health Brunswick Medical and Columbus Regional.

The non-profit Leapfrog Group takes a look at hospital safety across the country every spring and fall.

Columbus Regional and Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center were both given an “A” rating by the group.

The high grade is especially notable for Columbus Regional as the Leapfrog Group gave the hospital a “C” grade last spring.

NHRMC on the other hand received a “B.”
