HOT DAWG! Battleship to benefit from hotdog sales on Flag Day

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — If you’re craving a hotdog on Tuesday, you can satisfy the taste buds and preserve a Wilmington landmark at the same time.

The Trolly Stop located at 4502 Fountain Drive, across from UNCW, is donating 50 percent of its sales on June 14th to the Friends of the Battleship.

A spokesman says that flags that have been flown over Battleship North Carolina will also be available for purchase. June 14th is Flag Day.

Organizers of the fundraiser say it is a way to support the Wilmington Memorial so future generations can enjoy the Battleship’s great history.
