House fire rekindles, no injuries reported

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington fire officials were called back out to a scene Thursday morning due to a rekindled house fire.

The incident was at a home in the 1600 block of Ann Street. Fire officials responded to that home Wednesday due to a fire; no one was home at the time and the fire was ruled accidental due to an electrical short. Officials say a hotspot reignited the fire in the attic Thursday morning. No one was hurt.

The occupants are displaced and being assisted by The American Red Cross.
