Incumbent, Northwest mayor running for Brunswick House seat

State Rep. Frank Iler plans to run to keep his seat representing Brunswick County in the State House of Representatives. The Republican Party picked Iler last year to finish out Bonner Stiller’s term serving the 17th House District.

Iler, who lives at Oak Island, is a retired businessman. He also served as the GOPs 7th Congressional District Chair.

Also today, James Knox said he will run for the Democratic Party’s nomination. Knox was reelected as Mayor of Northwest back in November.
