ILM gets $6.5 million for infrastructure

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The trip between the runway and the terminal at Wilmington International Airport should soon be a little smoother thanks to some help from the federal government.

The Federal Aviation Administration has awarded ILM $6,547,325 for infrastructure improvements. The money will help rehabilitate existing taxiway A, D, and F pavement, and pave the shoulders of taxiway B, C and G including tapers.
