ILM names memorial plaza after former board chairman

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A change is coming to Wilmington International Airport and it’s to honor Parks Griffin, a former chairman of the airport authority.

Griffin died last year after a long career as a Wilmington businessman.

He was co-founder of the insurance brokerage GriffinEstep, a graduate of UNCW, and a recipient of the Order of the Long Leaf Pine.
