ILM to get federal funding for security improvements

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — More than $900,000 in federal funds will go towards security enhancements at Wilmington International Airport. That’s according to a news release from Congressman Mike McIntyre’s office.

Congress appropriated the funds through the Department of Transportation.

“Security improvements and enhancement are critical to passenger and airplane safety and these federal funds will help the Wilmington Airport in both regards,” McIntyre said. “Congratulations to Director Jon Rosborough and all the fine folks at the airport for their work in securing these funds.”
