ILM earns top marks from FAA

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington International Airport has received top marks from the Federal Aviation Administration once again. ILM earned a perfect score from the FAA Certification Safety Inspector for the fifth year in a row.

The annual inspection ensures the airport is in compliance with FAA regulations. It covers all aspects of airport safety, operations and appearance. The inspections includes a test for airport firefighters as well as checking the condition of runways, taxiways and safety areas.
