In face of drought, state concerned about trees
The drought conditions have the state Division of Forest Resources concerned about your trees.
The southern pine beetle thrives in dry conditions, and can cause major damage. Signs of an infestation include yellow pine needles or reddish-brown dust.
If you find the pine beetles in your trees, give your local forest ranger a call.
