Inmate escapes from Buncombe County prison
ASHEVILLE, NC (AP) — State and local police are looking for an inmate who escaped from the Buncombe Correctional Center.
Correctional staff found that 27-year-old Anthony Riddle of McDowell County was missing at a 9 p.m. check Tuesday at the minimum security prison.
Riddle was serving a sentence of two to four years for larceny and possession of a gun by a felon. He had been scheduled for release in July 2015.
