Intermittent lane closures on Cape Fear Memorial Bridge begin Sunday

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Drivers can expect some lane closures overnight on the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge starting Sunday.

The NC Department of Transportation says there will be intermittent lane closures in both directions on the bridge nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Wednesday weather permitting.

Crews will work to balance the lift span of the bridge. The lift span is the part that allows the bridge to open.
